Professional experience

Senior Counsel with the firm’s M&A, Banking & Finance and Energy Practices.
Prior to joining NK Law, Elina served as legal counsel at Motor Oil Renewable Energy S.M.S.A. (MORE), a member of the Motor Oil Group, where she focused on banking and finance and M&A transactions, and advised on diverse matters of corporate and commercial law.
In particular, Elina led complex project finance and corporate transactions, from transaction structuring to drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and advised on M&A transactions in the energy sector, including the acquisition of wind farm projects, photovoltaic projects and offshore wind farm projects.
Elina furthermore advised on over-the-counter (OTC) derivative agreements (mainly ISDA), various commercial agreements (inter alia, power purchase agreements, procurement contracts, services and works contracts, electricity and natural gas EFET agreements), as well as on diverse corporate law matters.
Finally, Elina was in charge of managing the company’s legal affairs in relation to international expansion.

Prior to that, Elina served as a corporate restructuring counsel at UniCredit Bank AG (Athens Branch) where she advised on restructurings of non-performing corporate loans. Areas of practice included, inter alia, advising on the legal aspects of the restructuring, analyzing financial statements and drafting credit requests, as well as the drafting and negotiation of derivative (ISDA) instruments. She was also responsible for the Know Your Customer (KYC) process for corporate and retail customers.

Finally, Elina is an accredited mediator with experience in commercial and family law mediations.

Teaching experience

Elina is a part-time lecturer of commercial law at the University of Nicosia (Athens Campus).
