Nicholas Dessypris, Partner, Head of Banking & Finance, M&A, and Energy at NKLAW, participated as a speaker at the 6th Energy Conference held by NOMIKI BIBLIOTHIKI on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Wyndham Grand Athens.
Mr Dessypris joined the final panel discussion of the second day of the Conference, titled “Financing Energy Projects and Infrastructure.” where the esteemed speakers highlighted the challenges and financing prospects of modern energy projects and infrastructure. The panel was moderated by Stella Tsartsali and marked the conclusion of this year’s conference proceedings.
The speakers explored key financing methods for energy infrastructure projects, the main challenges arising in the sector, and the most important risk management tools. They also presented the current landscape of energy storage projects in Greece, while focusing on the developments shaping the financing and investment environment in the energy sector, the emergence of new contractual models in the electricity market, and the increasing regulatory compliance requirements accompanying the development of storage projects and the broader energy transition.
