Chara Zerva, Managing Partner of our Law Firm, participated at the presentation and public consultation of the “Master Plan for the Renewal of the Greek Passenger Shipping Fleet”, as part of Greece’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, “Greece 2.0.”, conducted by NKLAW Firm along with EY-Parthenon , Samaras & Associates SA-Consulting Engineers, coordinated by the Growthfund, the National Fund of Greece, held on Friday March 6th, at the Eugenides Foundation, in the presence of Vassilis Kikilias, Minister at Greek Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy.

   



The meaningful dialogue which brought together administrative stakeholders, representatives from the European Commissions and the market, served as a productive platform for the exchange of ideas focusing on the key challenges related to renewing the coastal shipping fleet. Particular attention was given to the necessity of maintaining territorial cohesion and interconnection of the mainland with the islands.

Ms. Zerva shared her insights and engaged in a productive discussion, addressing questions related to the state aid legal framework, rules, constraints, existing and potential financial mechanisms suitable to support the renewal of the Greek passenger shipping fleet.
