Chara Zerva Managing Partner of our law firm and Chief Legal Advisor of Enterprise Greece SA participated as a speaker in the 1st Sustainable Finance Conference organized by BOUSSIAS Events, held on March 27 at the Ethniki Asfalistiki Conference Center.

As part of her participation in the panel of SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS IN REAL ESTATE, along with Zefi Nikolaou, MA, CFE, CFSE, ESG Senior Expert, Kalia Konstantinidou, Group Executive Officer of Empiria Group, Despina Chamilaki, Managing Partner at Grivalia Management Company and Panagiotis Merekoulias, Managing Director at Merekoulias VALUES, she had the chance to share her thoughts on the notion of sustainability in strategic and flagship investments and in ESXASE, applying her long year expertise in her capacity as Chief Legal Counsel at Enterprise Greece and Strategic Investments.

The panel discussion focused on two key areas:

1. Sustainability in Strategic and Flagship Investments.
The integration of sustainability into the planning and evaluation of large-scale strategic investments, as well as achieving a balance of the  Special Spatial Planning (ESCHASE) with the environment. Their critical role in green and digital transitions, as well as their contribution in the economic and technological development of the nation.

2. Regulatory Obligations under the CSRD Directive.
The requirements of Sustainability Reports and penalties for non-compliance with CSRD Directive and L 5164/2024. Difficulties in their implementation, criteria and stages of mandatory implementation. Special reference was made on the specialized sustainability tools applied in real estate investments.
