Claire Lada, Senior Partner in our law firm, participated as a speaker at the Corporate Governance & Compliance Conference 2026, held by BOUSSIAS under the auspices of Association of Compliance Officers in Greece – ASCO Greece, on Thursday March 12th at Sofitel Athens Airport.

 

Mrs Lada joined the 1st insightful discussion on “The New Governance Landscape: The Strategic Role of the Board”, moderated by Vicky Kastanioti, ESG, Compliance, Risk Manager & DPO, Trade Estates REIC, along with the distinguished speakers:

– Aris Dimitriadis, Audit Committee Chairman, Central Market and Fishery Organizations (OKAA SA)
– George Lagaris, Lawyer, Head of Group Compliance, Motor Oil (Hellas) Corinth Refineries S.A.

Mrs Lada highlighted the shift of Boards from formal compliance to strategic risk oversight in a world marked by geopolitical & geo-economical tensions, Ai risks and fragile supply chains.
She also addressed the evolving ESG + G debate.

Her key message: strong governance today means anticipating crises and defining clear risk boundaries before they escalate.
